Lainey Wilson Announces 2026 Whirlwind World Tour Dates for Australia and New Zealand
Country music superstar Lainey Wilson is set to kick off 2026 in spectacular fashion as her record-breaking Whirlwind World Tour heads Down Under next February. The multi-award-winning singer-songwriter will bring her electrifying live show to eight arena dates across New Zealand and Australia — marking her highly anticipated New Zealand debut.
The tour begins on February 6 at Auckland’s Spark Arena, followed by Christchurch’s Wolfbrook Arena on February 8. Wilson will then travel to Australia for back-to-back shows at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre (Feb. 11 & 12), before taking the stage in Sydney (Feb. 16), Melbourne (Feb. 19), Adelaide (Feb. 22), and wrapping up in Perth (Feb. 26).
Presented by Chugg Entertainment and Frontier Touring, the Whirlwind World Tour will feature special guests Flatland Cavalry and Kaitlin Butts, making this one of the biggest country music events of the year for Australasian fans. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.
From CMC Rocks to Global Stardom
This will be Wilson’s first trip back to Australia since 2024, when she left an unforgettable impression with her headlining set at CMC Rocks QLD and two sold-out, show-stopping concerts in Sydney and Melbourne. Those performances cemented her status as one of country music’s most powerful live acts — a reputation she has since taken worldwide.
The upcoming tour follows a massive 2025 for Wilson, who continues to dominate the charts, sell out arenas, and break streaming records.
A Year of Career Highs
In June, Wilson released her Apple Music Sessions EP, recorded in London, featuring bold new renditions of The Beatles’ “Come Together”, Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved”, and a reimagined version of her own hit Devil Don’t Go There.
Her most recent single, “Somewhere Over Laredo”, shattered her own streaming records, earning 1.16 million first-day streams — the biggest debut of her career. The song appears on the deluxe edition of her critically acclaimed album Whirlwind, set for release on August 22, 2025, via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville.
Over the past year, Wilson’s trophy cabinet has grown considerably. At the 60th Annual ACM Awards, she won Entertainer of the Year for the second consecutive time, Female Artist of the Year for the third year running, Album of the Year (Whirlwind), and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. She was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, took home Best Country Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards, and earned two awards at the 58th CMA Awards, where she also made her hosting debut alongside Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan.
In addition to achieving eight No. 1 hits, Wilson recently collaborated with Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert on the powerhouse single Trailblazer. She’s also set to make her feature film acting debut in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel Reminders of Him.
